Overview

LoryGate is a small, wired, and wireless device server that transmits collected data via serial or LoRa, the longrange wireless communication technology, over an ethernet network. LoryGate connects via a LAN port and supports RS-232/422/485 serial communication standards, as well as the LoRa. To remotely control, monitor, and support the data communication over the network (TCP/IP), LoryGate uses a COM Port Redirector program enabling the usage of a serial device without any modifications. LoryGate, by SystemBase, is a multifunctional gateway that can be useful in utilizing USN, control, and monitoring automation in various areas, such as POS, hospitals, factories, and buildings.

LoryNet Compatibility

LoryNet, a virtual cable platform based on LPWA (Low Power Wide Area) communication technology LoRa, connects sensor nodes, converters, repeaters, and gateways via the Internet to create an environment where communication is as easy as writing/reading on a hard disk drive. The configuration and preference settings related to connecting various digital and analog communications, including the Internet, have been simplified. Also, the compatibility between different protocols is strengthened, making network system configuration as easy as writing and reading data from a hard disk drive in a computer. By using a physical, virtual cable platform “LoryNet,” which connects various communication methods, one can monitor, analyze, and control data obtained from all over the world. Additionally, due to its table-based communication methods, application and communication protocol can be differentiated and easily used. The private LoRa network operating in the unlicensed frequency band allows the user to configure the network without an additional charge. To this end, various environment SDK’s (Windows, Linux, Android, iOS, and OS-less) will be provided so that users can easily create and apply customized applications in the future.

Connecting LoRa network and the Internet

LoryGate provides an ethernet interface with LoRa and acts as a gate between the two. It also collects data from various sensor notes scattered across the LoRa network and relays them to the server. Our LoryGate can complete tasks as a simple server without a complicated server and allows the devices connected to the LoRa via ethernet network to communicate.

Improved Surge and ESD Protection

To ensure product safety and high reliability in the diversified operating environment, including industrial fields, the operating environment has been diversified. LoRyGate provides ESD Protection that satisfies IEC6100-4-2 (ESD 4 Level), including ±8KV (contact), ±15KV (noncontact), and ±15KV(HBM) standards. Furthermore, to prevent damage caused by the input surge through the power source or network connectors, it is equipped to satisfy IEC 61000-4-4(40A) and IEC 61000-4-5(24A) standards. These protection measures ensure a stable and reliable data communication environment that is ready to
respond to abnormal conditions, such as ESD, EFT, and surge.
