The BASSO-1010UC enables easy and fast installation of serial communications ports into the system via USB bus. Equipped with USB 2.0, it supports serial communication speed up to 921.6Kbps and ±15kV surge protection providing compatibility and reliability. LED showing serial communication status has appealing design in addition to debugging purpose. The BASSO-1010UC supports the serial communications interface of the RS-422/RS-485 and is used in various fields, including R&D, building and factory automation.

Latching USB Cable Applied

Latching USB Cable applied to BASSO-1010UC has a latches on the USB connectors which provides accidental detachment. It is compatible with the existing USB 2.0 connectors.

Auto Toggling

BASSO-1010UC has a built-in hardware feature that performs automatic toggling to prevent device from sending data at the same time causing a crash. This function prevents the RS-422 from forming a multi-drop network or crashing between output signals on the RS-485 network. As this function is provided by hardware side, setting interface mode with a switch enables auto toggling for each interface.

Slew-Rate Limit Control

The BASSO-1010UC has a slew rate limiting function that inhibits electromagnetic emissions when communicating in RS-422/RS-485 interface. When this function is activated, the maximum communication speed is limited to 250Kbps. However, this function prevents malfunctioning of equipment in electromagnetic-sensitive environments such as hospitals and laboratories.
