Overview

Wi-Fi HaLow is a next-generation wireless LAN technology that enables long-distance data transmission for various IoT devices, based on the newly established IEEE 802.11 ah by the Wi-Fi Alliance. eHaLow/Br, a system-based wireless gateway bridge that incorporates Wi-Fi HaLow, supports wired LAN according to the IEEE 802.3 10/100 Base-TX Ethernet standard, converting wired LAN to wireless LAN and providing transmission and reception functions. It is a next-generation wireless communication device that offers a maximum communication speed of up to 1.5Mbps within a wireless section range of up to LOS 1.5km. eHaLow/Br is a device that overcomes the limitations of short-range wireless communication technologies such as existing Wi-Fi and BLE. Users can utilize the Wi-Fi HaLow product line, including eHaLow/Br, sHaLow/all, and uHaLow, to construct mid-to-long range wireless networks, enabling the creation and utilization of various M2M networks such as smart grids and sensor networks.

Long-range, low-power WLAN technology Wi-Fi HaLow

Approved by the Wi-Fi Alliance in 2016, IEEE 802.11 ah (Wi-Fi HaLow) is a WLAN technology that utilizes the Sub 1GHz band. The conventional 2.4GHz ISM band, which is used by existing Wi-Fi and BLE, faces increased congestion due to various communication devices, leading to decreased stability. Wi-Fi HaLow overcomes these issues by leveraging Sub 1GHz to surpass the traditional wireless communication range limit of 100m, achieving approximately 1~1.5km of mid-to-long-range communication. Thanks to its low-power characteristics, it is an ideal next-generation WLAN technology for battery-operated sensor networks and M2M communication networks, showcasing significant advantages for IoT applications.

Customized wireless network construction for users

Through a Wi-Fi HaLow network, remote devices can be easily communicated with, controlled, and monitored. It allows for network configuration and utilization tailored to the user’s on-site environment through both 1:1 communication mode and Infrastructure/Soft AP communication modes.
